Dental Crown for Cracked Tooth Syndrome
This patient came to our clinic experiencing inconsistent, sharp pain in her upper left teeth, especially when biting down or chewing. After standard X-rays and clinical tests showed no obvious decay, Dr. Randy Fisher utilized a specialized light to investigate further. He discovered an incomplete fracture running up the middle of one of her teeth, a difficult-to-diagnose condition known as cracked tooth syndrome. To resolve the issue and protect the tooth from breaking completely, a custom dental crown was recommended. The tooth was carefully prepared, and a temporary crown was placed for a few months to ensure all symptoms had fully subsided. Once she was completely pain-free, the beautiful final crown was cemented into place. The result is a stunning, natural-looking restoration that perfectly matches her adjacent teeth, leaving the patient thrilled to be completely free of her painful symptoms.
