March Break at Yonge and Eglinton

With March Break in full swing, parents everywhere are complaining that they’re running out of things to do with their kids. If you live around Yonge and Eglinton, March Break is hopping with plenty of amazingly fun things to do. Here are some of the best ideas:

Tour the TVOKids studio

TVOKids offers tours for groups of up to six children accompanied by an adult. Tours take about 15 to 20 minutes and includes visiting The Space studio and the control room. You might even get to meet a TVOKids host! Tours must be arranged in advance by calling TVOKids at 1-800-613-0513, extension 2292, or emailing tvokids@tvo.org. 2180 Yonge Street

Enjoy free March Break events at the library

With puppets and bingo and snakes and slime, the Toronto Public Library has a lot of fun and free March Break features! Find songs and stories, movies, building workshops and henna art lessons. For more information, call the Northern District library branch at 416-393-7610. 40 Orchard View Boulevard

Get in on the fun at Indigo

Indigo is offering a slew of fun activities at their Yonge and Eglinton location. Kids can make clay critters and mini desserts, join the L.O.L. Surprise! collectors’ club, pick a LEGO® puppy pal and then build them a puppy playhouse, do Peppa Pig and Paw Patrol crafts and more! All events start at 11am. Registration in advance is required; please call 416-544-0049 for details. 2300 Yonge Street

Do cool stuff at Toys R Us

Toys R Us is bringing it for your March Break amusement. Kids can build a LEGO® city dragster, rock a How to Train Your Dragon puzzle, become a certified Power Ranger by taking on some training activities or make some jewelry to wear home. All events run from 1 to 3pm. 2300 Yonge Street

Watch family films

Cineplex Cinemas Yonge-Eglinton is showing family favourites all week long, for just $2.99 admission. Films include The Grinch, Paw Patrol Mighty Pups, Smallfoot and Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald, and the fun starts at 11am each day. 2300 Yonge Street

Have a chocolate party!

Chocolate Tales for Kids has an innovative offering: they entertain kids and teens with chocolate. Their trained chocolatiers love keeping events hands-on, educational and fun, and they promise an ultimately mess-free experience right in your own home.

Visit the Midtown Artisan Market

Numerous vendors will showcase their wares in the Centre Court of the Yonge Eglinton Centre. This kid-friendly event will feature crafts, art, jewelry, housewares and more! The market runs from March 14 to 16. 2300 Yonge Street
