Our neck of the woods is fabulous all year-round, but especially so in the summer because of all the patios up and down Yonge Street. Whether your dentist appointment is in the morning, afternoon or evening, you can cap off your visit with a bite on one of them.
Breakfast – Uncle Betty’s
This breakfast/brunch spot is five blocks north of Yonge Eglinton Dental at the corner of Yonge and Albertus. They do a Breakfast Dog you have to try to believe, and their Breakwich sandwich is a donut stuffed with egg and cheese. Not the most tooth-friendly meal you can have, but totally worth it.
The patio isn’t huge, so we’d recommend going either earlier or later.
Lunch — St. Louis Bar & Grill
Unlike Uncle Betty’s, this popular wing joint’s patio is huge. Located seven blocks south of Yonge Eglinton Dental at Yonge and Lola, the patio gets fantastic sun to go along with fantastically famous chicken wings. It’s a popular post-softball hangout, so expect to be seated in and among large groups.
Dinner — Spacco
If you’re looking for trendy, you won’t find a better spot than this hidden patio just north of Yonge Eglinton Dental. It’s often full of beautiful people eating beautifully prepared pizza from their wood-burning oven, and getting up to head inside for a game of pool (the restaurant doubles as one of the nicest pool halls in North Toronto).
Enjoy the fresh air, and enjoy the neighbourhood!
